City of Redlands Attempting to TAKE Small Business Property

Redlands small business owners, be on alert!

The City of Redlands is attempting to TAKE the property of a small business in Redlands called Coyote Aviation. The minority- and female-co-owned business has been a loyal tenant of the Redlands Community Airport since 2000 — but is now fighting for its livelihood.

After 20 years as a dedicated member of the community and partner of the local airport, the small business has found itself trying to fend off an “UNLAWFUL TAKING” of their property by their local government, including the taking of an airplane hangar that the owners built from the ground up with their family, friends and neighbors from the community.

The city’s response? After three years of legal wrangling, city leaders are threatening to serve an eviction notice over an erroneous lease deadline in the dispute and COMMANDEER the property for the enrichment of city coffers!

A new legal case has been filed by the small business to hold the City of Redlands leaders to account. If the city unlawfully takes the property, they could end up owing the local business nearly $3 Million for the unlawful takings!

A local petition has been set up to send a message to city leaders here: RedhandedInRedlands.com

Redlands community, we’ll keep you advised…
